Meet Mia
I'm a Sydney mum who's spent the last 20 years living close to the beach. I keep fit with Peloton, pilates, and walking, spend time outdoors, and have always tried to eat well. But as I've gotten older, I've noticed how sugar, carbs and highly processed foods can hold back healthy living — no matter how many "good intentions" you have or how much exercise you're doing.
For me personally, that showed up in small ways — bad habits at the supermarket, convenience snacks at the coffee shop, the kind of thing that quietly blows out your calories and sugar for the day. And I knew I wasn't alone in that daily dilemma — about two in three Australian adults are now classified as overweight or obese, and type 2 diabetes cases have nearly tripled since 2000 to almost 1.2 million people, according to the AIHW (Australian Institute of Health and Welfare). Diet is one of the biggest drivers of both.

Day to day, I run my own digital marketing agency — I've always been drawn to ecommerce, social marketing and building digital audiences. But seeing how widespread those obesity and diabetes numbers had become made me want to put that experience toward something more personal: healthy eating as the baseline for a healthy, happy life.
So when the opportunity to acquire Keto Direct, as an already established business, came up in 2025, it felt like an easy decision — a passion project that lets me connect with thousands of Australians chasing the same goal, and something that fits naturally alongside both my agency work and my family life.
Since taking over, my focus has been on building on strong foundations — the product range, the delivery, the trust this community has in what we do — and growing it thoughtfully from here.
Here's to making healthy eating a little easier for all of us.
