Take a rest your brain day!

Take a rest your brain day!

Have you ever taken a "Rest Your Brain Day"? In the modern world, we are constantly chasing one task after another! Twenty-four hours never seem to be enough. If you are experiencing exhaustion—both physically and mentally—even if you believe you've rested enough, you might want to try taking a "Rest Your Brain Day"!
Here is my story, and I hope it resonates with many of you, highlighting the importance of taking a day to rest your mind.
I work six days a week, and Saturday is usually filled with a million tasks. My cortisol levels have been skyrocketing since July due to gatherings and commitments and deadlines. This causes my brain to go into overdrive (yes, your brain can be overworked too!). My body has been sending me signs to slow down over the past few months, but with my hectic schedule, I ignore them and kept pushing. Until three weeks ago, I reached a point where I needed to make a change — I didn't like the feeling of constantly rushing!
So, I took a "Not Planning Anything and Rest Your Brain Day". I spread my Saturday tasks across the other six days so I could:
Sleep in a bit and not rush my body with alarms.
Enjoy a slow morning and pay attention to my surroundings.
I completed unplanned tasks I had been too busy to address (but at a comfortable pace).
Spend quality time with my kids, no arguing, no nagging, just fun and flowing.
Simply enjoy living with purpose. It felt incredibly refreshing to not rush to the next task, embracing the feeling of truly living.
My body felt much more relaxed after this day off—something I hadn't experienced in a long time! While we take holidays once a year, we often don’t get to rest our minds because we’re always planning what to do next. So, if you can relate, start planning a "Rest Your Brain Day" and begin enjoying life again. A healthy mind, good nutrition, and staying active are your best tools for a healthy life.
